Scott County Schools fall victim to cyber fraud

SCOTT COUNTY, Ky. (WTVQ)- Scott County Schools says it has become a victim of a cyber fraud for $3.7 million.

The FBI and state police are now investigating and the district hopes it can recover that money.

The district says this is connected to vendor payments and other financial systems are no affected.

As a precaution, the district finance and accounting team has worked with our technology team to change all passwords, according to the district.
