Scott County residents can pick up Real ID’s
FRANKFORT, Ky. (WTVQ) – Scott County residents can now pick up a voluntary travel ID in Frankfort.
The Kentucky Transportation Cabinet says Scott County residents, who have an existing driver’s license, permit, or personal ID may visit the transportation cabinet’s driver’s license headquarters in Frankfort to get the upgrade.
Beginning October 1, 2020, only people with those ID’s will be allowed to board domestic flights or enter U.S. military bases.
Traditional driver’s licenses will still be available in circuit court clerk’s offices.
Residents applying for a voluntary travel ID card must present valid proof of identity, social security number and two valid proofs of residency.
