Scott County Mother Pleads Guilty To Abusing Her Child

Prosecutors said a Scott County mother would testify against her boyfriend after her 14-month-old girl was abused and ended up in the hospital.

Troopers arrested Kimberly Riggs and her boyfriend Matthew Clifton last May outside of a gas station in Scott County. 

State Police said Riggs’ daughter Audrey was bruised, cut up and malnourished.

According to the Commonwealth’s Attorney, Riggs pleaded guilty to a reduced charge of second-degree criminal abuse of a child.
