Scott County to host first domestic violence vigil
GEORGETOWN, Ky. (ABC36 NEWS NOW) – The Scott County Sheriff’s Office is hosting its first-ever Domestic Violence Vigil Wednesday night to raise awareness and honor survivors.
The event will be held from 6 to 8 p.m. at the new Sheriff’s Office on Caleb Conley Way. Organizers say it will feature food, games, a raffle, and community resources — along with speeches and moments of remembrance for those affected by domestic violence.
The Sheriff’s Office is inviting the entire community to attend, encouraging anyone who has been impacted by domestic violence — or who simply wants to show support — to take part in the evening.
