Scott County firefighters forced to let abandoned barn burn

SADIEVILLE, Ky. (WTVQ) – Firefighters in Scott County had no choice but to let a barn burn overnight.

It broke out just before 11 p.m. Thursday night on Elk Lick Road in Sadieville.

Crews say the abandoned barn was on a hill and the road leading to it was so muddy, firetrucks could not make it up.

One almost became stuck and that’s when they decided to let the fire burn itself out.

It is under investigating.
