Scott County Fire Dept.: Neighbors report explosion, crews put out fire at Sadieville home

SADIEVILLE, Ky. (WTVQ) – The Scott County Fire department responded to a home in the 400 block of Indian Creek Road after reports of an explosion by neighbors.

Authorities say once they arrived at the home around 1 a.m. Monday, it was already burned down to the ground. The Fire Chief says the crew focused on putting out the fire and any hot spots.

ABC 36 was told the owner of the home is not occupying the residence at the moment and no one was home at the time of the fire.

The Fire Chief also told ABC 36 that in the past, there were several calls to the home about activity related to meth.

No injuries were reported.

The cause of the fire and possible explosion are still under investigation.  Fire investigators are expected to look over the scene Monday morning.
