Scott County coroner indicted on new theft charges
SCOTT COUNTY, Ky. (WTVQ)- The Scott County Grand Jury indicted coroner John Goble Thursday on seven new counts, according to the Georgetown News Graphic.
He faces perjury, two counts of receiving stolen property, theft, possession of a controlled substance (oxycodone), and two counts of official misconduct.
Goble is already scheduled for trial later this fall on charges from June 2018. Then, he was charged with two counts of receiving stolen property, one count of possession of a controlled substance (oxycodone), one count of abuse of public trust, and two counts of official misconduct.
State police say in December they found evidence someone was stealing KSP ammunition.
From 2013 to 2017 Goble is accused of taking large quantities of ammunition from Master Trooper Robert “Mitch” Harris when he had reason to believe Harris had stolen it.
