Scott County Businesses can start selling alcohol this week, which is a big change after being a dry community for decades.
This summer they voted in favor of becoming a wet community.
Which mean that people now won’t have to leave the county to buy alcohol from places likes gas stations and grocery stores.
The Quick Stop in Georgetown has applied for an alcohol license. They plan to sell beer once they are approved, which they say they hope will be later this month.
