Science Hill police chief pleads guilty to public records tampering
FRANKFORT, Ky. (WTVQ) – Science Hill Police Chief William “Robbie” Gossett pleaded guilty to two counts of tampering with public records on Friday.
Gossett was ordered to pay $30,000 in restitution to the city, surrender certification as a police officer, serve 21 days of home incarceration and was ordered supervised probation for two-years.
The charges against Gossett stem from his employment with the City of Science Hill from July of 2008 through October of 2009. During a pretrial conference today in Pulaski Co., Gossett admitted to taking cash from citizens intended to be deposited as payment for their water bills.
In December 2015, Gossett was indicted by a Pulaski County grand jury for abuse of public trust and theft of more than ten-thousand dollars.
