School Officials: Scott County Teen Brings Gun On Bus

A student at Scott County Ninth Grade School was accused Thursday of bringing a gun onto a school bus, according to school officials.

School officials said students who reportedly saw the gun on the bus went straight to teachers once they arrived at school and reported the incident.

School Officials said the student was searched they found a unloaded, disassembled gun.

A secretary at Scott County Ninth Grade School said letters were sent home to parents and the student was removed from school.

The Principal said the punishment is up to the School Board, but it is usually expulsion in a case like this.

Because the student is a minor, no name was released and Police would not say if the student was criminally charged or arrested.

Classes went on as normal, according to school officials.
