School Holds Annual Little Kentucky Derby
The Lexington School hosted the 34th running of the Little Kentucky Derby Friday morning.
Preschool students ages 3 through 5 make a “run for the roses” Lexington School style with the help of their middle school "trainers." Three-year-old students raced around on stick horses, while four and five-year-olds rode big wheels.
A special guest was there to surprise the crowd. John Michael Montgomery sang "My Old Kentucky Home" with a few students, including his son, Walker.
The entire school came out to watch the kids compete in more than 20 heats.
