School closed Friday in Lincoln County due to high water
LINCOLN COUNTY, Ky. (WTVQ)- School was canceled in Lincoln County Friday due to high water from flash flooding.
According to Emergency Management, some roads were under water. Other parts of roads were washed-out after 3-to-7 inches of rain fell in the county.
The water receded almost as quickly as it came, but it left behind some damage and debris-covered roads, and officials knew it would be too dangerous to try to run buses so the students got an unexpected long weekend.
