School Bus involved in accident on I-75; Five People Injured

RICHMOND, Ky. (WTVQ)- State police say five people went to the hospital Friday night after an accident on I-75 that involved a Madison County school bus.

Investigators say the Madison Southern High School basketball teams were on the bus at the time.

State police say none of the students were hurt.

Troopers say the collision happened after a car veered off the highway, then steered back onto the interstate and hit the bus.

According to state police, the car was then rear-ended by another car.

Investigators say the driver of the car that hit the bus was taken to the hospital with critical injuries.

According to state police, all southbound lanes are closed from mile markers 79 to 83.
