Saul Good to offer July 4 half-off deal to support deployed KY soldiers
LEXINGTON, Ky. (WTVQ) – You can support deployed Kentucky soldiers by eating at Saul Good Restaurant & Pub on July 4.
All Saul Good locations will be offer dine-in customers half-off on food orders from 12:00 p.m. – 7:00 p.m.
Donations will be collected at the restaurant to support Military Missions, Inc., a non-profit organization that sends care packages to deployed Kentucky soldiers. The care packages cast about $20 dollars to fill, with an additional $10 dollars to ship.
Last December, during Operation S.E.N.D. Christmas, Military Missions sent 2,000 packages to deployed soldiers. In addition, over 3,000 unit bags and boxes were shipped during the remainder of the year.
“We believe it’s important to let our soldiers know we have not forgotten them,” said Beth Pennington, founder of Military Missions. “The process of funding the annual Christmas care packages must begin now. In these unsure economic times, we all must start early and dig deeper into our hearts and pockets to show our appreciation for our local military community.”
