Salato Wildlife Education Center closing temporarily starting Aug. 26

FRANKFORT, Ky. (WTVQ) – Effective Aug. 26, the Salato Wildlife Education Center located in Frankfort will be closed until further notice.

The Kentucky Department of Fish and Wildlife Resources is committed to providing a safe and educational experience for all visitors. Out of an abundance of caution, the center will close temporarily to prevent the potential spread of COVID-19 to guests and staff.

Advance online ticket sales and reservations for field trips and groups are currently suspended. Salato Center officials will contact guests including groups and field trips with advance tickets.
