Saint Joseph East welcomes Lexington’s first baby of 2026
LEXINGTON, Ky. (ABC36 NEWS NOW) — Lexington’s first baby of 2026 has arrived.
According to a release from Women’s Hospital at Saint Joseph East, the hospital delivered its first baby of the new year at 1:31 a.m. on Jan. 1.
Dalton and Hadlee Ritchie of Winchester welcomed a baby girl, Kennedy Rayne. The hospital says Kennedy weighed 8 pounds, 7 ounces and measured 21 inches long at birth.
Women’s Hospital at Saint Joseph East says the birth marks its first delivery of 2026.
In the release, hospital officials also reflected on the previous year, saying the Women’s Hospital welcomed 1,439 babies in 2025.
