Safely Dispose Of Cooking Grease In Lexington Friday

The City of Lexington wants you to safely dispose of your extra grease from Thursday’s Thanksgiving meal at the ‘Gobble Grease Toss.’

From 8:00 a.m. until 1:00 p.m. on Friday, November 23rd, you can get rid of your extra grease in an environmentally friendly way at the old landfill on Old Frankfort Pike in Lexington.

People are asked to bring the grease in a sealed container.

And, the City reminds everyone to never pour grease down a drain or into a commode because it can cause clogs and sewer backups.
