Russell Springs teen dies day after car wreck

RUSSELL SPRINGS, Ky. (WTVQ) – A Russell Springs teenager died Tuesday from injuries suffered in a car accident the day before, according to State Police.

The Fayette County coroner says 19-year old Logan Hudson died from multiple blunt force injuries at UK Hospital in Lexington.

State Police say Hudson was involved in a three vehicle collision on Monday on Highway 379 in Russell County.

Investigators say 25-year old Wesley Flatt, of Russell Springs, was driving an SUV southbound on Highway 379, when he crossed the centerline and collided with a northbound SUV driven by 65-year old Donna Antle, of Jamestown.

State Police say Antle’s SUV left the road and overturned. Investigators say Flatt’s SUV continued southbound and collided with Hudson’s SUV. State Police say Flatt’s SUV finally came to rest after striking a fence post.

State Police say Flatt was not wearing a seat belt. He was taken to Russell County Hospital where he was treated and released, according to KSP.

Investigators say Antle was wearing a seat belt. She was treated and released from Russell County Hospital.

State Police say Hudson was also wearing a seat belt. He was airlifted to UK Hospital.
