Russell Springs man accused of raping young girl

RUSSELL SPRINGS, Ky. (WTVQ) – A Russell Springs man admits to having sex with an underage girl, according to the Russell County Sheriff’s Office.

Deputies say 40-year old Billy Joe Bennett was arrested Thursday and charged with rape and sodomy.

Investigators say additional charges will be forthcoming.

Bennett was lodged in the Russell County Detention Center.
