Russell County deputies investigating multiple vehicle break-ins; gun stolen
RUSSELL COUNTY, Ky. (ABC 36 NEWS NOW) – The Russell County Sheriff’s Office is asking for the public’s help after several vehicle break-ins early Saturday morning in the Bernard Ridge and McQueary Road area.
Deputies say a gun was stolen during the incidents, and the suspect is considered armed. Authorities are asking residents in the area to check home security or doorbell cameras for any video footage that could help identify the suspect — including details about clothing or headwear.
Anyone with information is asked to contact Russell County Dispatch. Tips can remain anonymous.
The Sheriff’s Office is also reminding residents to lock their vehicles and remove firearms to help prevent future thefts. The investigation is ongoing.
