RPD: Woman arrested after jumping on car during dispute

RICHMOND, Ky. (WTVQ) – Officers in Richmond say they have arrested a woman who caused thousands of dollars of damage to a vehicle after jumping up and down on it during an argument.

According to officers, on March 8, 23-year-old Kiara Clayton got into an argument with a woman on Bellwood Place.  Investigator’s say the woman is an acquaintance of Clayton’s former boyfriend.  Police say during the dispute, Clayton climbed onto the roof of the other woman’s car and jumped up and down on it, causing some $3,200.oo in damage.

Officers say a warrant was issued for Clayton’s arrest on April 4.

She was arrested on Wednesday, charged with criminal mischief, and taken to the Madison Co. Detention Center.
