Rowan County teacher arrested for DUI

 A Rowan County elementary school teacher has been arrested for DUI Friday morning, according to the Rowan County Detention Center.

38-year-old Christi Mullen is a teacher at Tilden Hogge Elementary School.

Authorities say Mullen is charged with operating a motor vehicle under the influence.

The Rowan County Superintendent says Mullen is suspended while working with the board attorney to do a thorough investigation.
