‘Round to Remember’ raises funds for Alzheimer’s Association
The charity golf tournament benefits the Greater Kentucky and Southern Indiana Chapter. It’s the fourth year for what’s called, a ‘Round to Remember’.
It was held out at Connemara Golf Course and is hosted by Paul Bimschleger and his family. Paul lost his wife, Patricia in 2011 to the disease.
Since 2012, Paul and his family have raised more than $73,000 for the association.
Holes-in-one are rare but there was one at the tourney and the man who hit it, is now the proud owner of a new car.
"We actually all set in it beforehand my dad was going around and was like, ‘this is actually pretty nice, I wouldn’t mind having one of these.’ So we hit our shots and mine went in, it was nuts. The girls down at the bottom they were all screaming. I thought they were all messing around," said Daniel Wetherill.
Daniel tells us he almost didn’t play in the tournament until his dad asked him to.
