Roof collapse in Lexington
LEXINGTON, Ky. (WTVQ) — Lexington Fire Department crews are on the scene at 168 North Upper Street, for a parking garage with a collapsed roof.
UPDATE:The Fire Department is allowing people inside the structure to retrieve their vehicles, closely monitoring so no one gets hurt.
They urge people to quickly collect their vehicles, because additional storms predicted for later tonight may cause further damage.
The crew says a quarter of the building’s roof collapsed, around 12:54 on July 10, after excessive water collected and caused portions of it to buckle, with around 60 cars still inside.
