Rodriguez out of the Preakness, will target Belmont

BALTIMORE, Md. (ABC 36 SPORTS) – Trainer Bob Baffert announced on Friday that Rodriguez will not compete in the Preakness and will redirect his efforts toward the Belmont Stakes, aiming for a strong performance in the final leg of the Triple Crown.

Rodriguez was initially scratched from the Kentucky Derby due to a minor foot bruise. Despite this setback, the horse remained at Churchill Downs to continue preparations for the Preakness. However, after careful consideration, Baffert and the ownership group decided to focus on a more favorable setup for the Belmont Stakes.
