Rockcastle & Pulaski communities cope with storm damage

ROCKCASTLE COUNTY, Ky. (WTVQ)- Some communities along KY 70 in Rockcastle and Pulaski counties are coping with storm damage.

Severe thunderstorms with damaging winds around 70 miles per hour knocked down tree branches and power lines this afternoon on Oregon Lane in Rockcastle County.

ABC 36 Chief Meteorologist Jason Meyers says strong thunderstorms are now moving across Southern Kentucky. He says some areas are seeing heavy rainfall, as well as wind gusts around 40 miles per hour.
