Rockcastle County teen accused in couple’s murder identified
ROCKCASTLE COUNTY, Ky. (WTVQ) – The name of the Rockcastle County teen who investigators say helped murder her mother and stepfather was made public Friday.
Brooklyn Reynolds, who is 16, was originally charged in juvenile court but she will now be tried as an adult.
Kentucky State Police say her name was released after her first appearance in adult court Friday.
Reynolds is charged with complicity to commit murder in the deaths of her mother, Chara Bryant, and her stepfather, William Bryant.
Both were found dead in their home in Rockcastle County on June 8th.
Authorities later arrested Reynolds and her boyfriend, 22-year-old Christopher Evans.
Investigators say Reynolds and Evans told them they committed the murders because the Bryants would not let them see each other.
Reynolds is currently in a juvenile facility in Adair County. Evans remains in the Rockcastle County jail.
