Rockcastle County murder suspect due in court for pretrial conference
ROCKCASTLE COUNTY, Ky. (ABC36 NEWS NOW) — A Rockcastle County man charged with murder is expected in court Friday morning for a pretrial conference tied to a deadly 2024 shooting.
According to Kentucky State Police, 54-year-old Benjamin Jones Jr. was found with gunshot wounds along Sandhill Road in Livingston and was pronounced dead at the scene. The suspect, Terry Burke, was arrested just hours later in Mount Vernon.
Burke remains in custody at the Rockcastle County Detention Center.
State police say the investigation into the case is still ongoing.
