Robertson Co. sheriff arrested for alleged DUI in police cruiser
MOUNT OLIVET, Ky. (WTVQ) — A Robertson County sheriff was arrested last week after he allegedly drove under the influence in his police cruiser to the Robertson County School District building.
On Dec. 13 around 2:30 p.m., a school resource officer and Robertson County Sheriff Terry Gray were in a “disagreement” at the school district building on Sardis Road, according to an arrest citation.
The school resource officer, who was not named, reported that Gray “smelled of alcoholic beverages” after arriving at the building in his police cruiser.
A Kentucky State Police trooper called Gray and said Gray told him he was driving on KY 165.
Another KSP trooper then called Gray and said Gray told him he was now at his home in Mount Olivet.
Troopers arrived at Gray’s home and found him standing next to his police cruiser with the door open, according to the arrest citation.
Gray was arrested and charged with operating a motor vehicle under the influence of alcohol.
