Robbery puts voting site on lock-down in Louisville
LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WTVQ) – Voting was stopped for about an hour Tuesday in Louisville because of a robbery in the area of Bowen Elementary School, according to WHASS 11 news.
WHASS11 said the school had to be placed on lock-down while being used as a voting site.
MetroSafe told WHASS11 Louisville Metro Police were searching for the robbery suspects around the 1700 block of Washing Blvd.
A Jefferson Co. Clerk spokesperson told WHASS11 the school re-opened around 40 minutes after being on lock-down.
The spokesperson told WHASS11 voting polls at Bowen Elementary will be open until 6:45 p.m.
