Robbery arrests in Lexington

LEXINGTON, Ky. (WTVQ) – Police in Lexington say they’ve made two arrests in connection to multiple robberies around the city.

Investigators charged Kelly E. Cox and Shaun L. Taylor Wednesday afternoon.

Cox was charged for his involvement in the following:

  • July 19, 2016: Armed robbery of Marathon gas station at 1971 North Broadway
  • July 20, 2016: Robbery of Forcht Bank located at 506 West New Circle Road
  • July 23, 2016: Robbery of Fifth Third Bank at 2225 Versailles Road

Taylor was charged in connection with the following:

  • April 18, 2016: Attempted robbery of People’s Exchange Bank located at 901 Richmond Road
  • April 18, 2016: Robbery of the Fifth Third Bank at 1680 Bryan Station Road
  • July 23, 2016: Robbery of the Republic Bank at 2401 Harrodsburg Road

Cox and Taylor are in the Fayette County Detention Center.
