Roads Shut Down Near U.K. Campus Because Of Gas Leak
Lexington Police shut down some streets near the U.K. campus Thursday afternoon because of a gas leak.
Crews were called after a two-inch plastic gas line broke.
Officers closed off part of Lexington Avenue, Maxwell and the Avenue of Champions.
An alert was issued on the U.K. campus.
According to the fire department, Columbia Gas workers clamped off the leak so that the streets could reopen to traffic.
