Road closures scheduled for two major Fayette Co. roads
LEXINGTON, Ky. (WTVQ) – Newtown Pike and New Circle Road are scheduled to close as part of the current road-widening project.
The closures, announced by the Kentucky Transportation Cabinet, Department of Highways are listed below:
Friday, June 1 through Saturday, June 2 – 7 p.m. Friday until 6 a.m. Saturday
Newtown Pike/KY 922 – lane closures
- the right/slow lanes will be closed between Kennedy Road (milepoint 1.300) and Nandino Boulevard (milepoint 1.891)
- o the closures are necessary for shoulder work to continue
Friday, June 1 through Saturday, June 2 – 7 p.m. Friday until 6 a.m. Saturday
New Circle Road/KY 4 – Inner and Outer Loops
- a right/slow lane closure will be in effect between Georgetown Road (milepoint 8.732) and Boardwalk (milepoint 10.015)
Friday, June 1 through Saturday, June 2 – 9 p.m. Friday until 5 a.m. Saturday
New Circle Road/KY 4 – Ramp
- the loop ramp from the Outer Loop of New Circle Road/KY 4 to Inbound/Southbound Newtown Pike/KY 922 will be closed
All work is scheduled on a tentative basis and is subject to change depending on weather conditions, emergencies and other factors beyond the control of the Department of Highways.
