Road closure in Jackson County scheduled for Thursday

MANCHESTER, Ky. (WTVQ)- The Kentucky Transportation Cabinet plans to close a section of KY 2004 in Jackson County on Thursday, July 5 from 8 a.m. to 7 p.m.

Maintenance crews will close KY 2004 between Mullins Hollow Road (milepoint 0.5)and Chestnut Flat Road (milepoint 4) to repair and replace highway drainage systems.

KYTC says the road will be closed to through traffic but local access will be maintained. There will not be a signed detour but drivers are encouraged to use U.S. 421 and KY 3447 as an alternate route.

Drivers should be aware of the work zone, expect delays and drive with added caution.

The date and time of the work could be adjusted if inclement weather or other unforeseen delays occur.
