Road closure in Madison County for slide repairs

RICHMOND, Ky. (WTVQ) – In order to make repairs from a previous slide, KY 1617 in Madison County is scheduled to be closed beginning Wednesday, July 6 through July 20, according to the Kentucky Transportation Cabinet. The slide repair work is at mile point 0.7 near the Madison-Rockcastle line.

Motorists can use US 25 as an alternate route, according to the state.

The work is subject to change depending on weather, emergencies and other factors beyond the control of the Department of Highways.
