Richmond Police and Lexington Legends host Battle of the Badges charity softball game

RICHMOND, Ky. (ABC36 NEWS NOW) — Get ready to swing for a cause! The Richmond Police Department’s CODE 4 Wellness Program is partnering with the Lexington Legends for a special Battle of the Badges charity softball event.

The action kicks off Sunday, August 17 at 2 p.m. as the Lexington Legends take on the Gastonia Ghost Peppers. But the fun doesn’t stop there—right after the game, Richmond Police will face off against Richmond Fire in a head-to-head matchup on the diamond.

All ticket proceeds will go to CASA of the Wilderness Trail, which supports advocacy for children in the court system. One ticket gets you access to both games—and every dollar supports local charities.
