Reward rises for information in Laurel County double homicide

LILY, Ky. (WTVQ) – Investigators in Laurel County are looking for information in a double homicide case, and they’re offering thousands of dollars for it.

A $1,000 reward is already being offered by the Laurel London County Crime Stoppers for the arrest and conviction of the person or people responsible for the deaths of Donnie Jackson and his wife Sharon. The Laurel County Sheriff’s Office said the couple was found shot to death in their Lily home, just south of London, on March 8th.

AMVETS Post #116 is now offering an additional $2,200 for the reward. Donnie was a member of the post and his wife was an auxiliary member. Members of the post hope the extra reward money will encourage someone that knows information about the case to come forward. This brings the total reward for information to $3,200.

Larry Gross, a lifelong friend of Donnie and member of the AMVETS post said, "Donnie was a hard worker and would help anybody."

If you would like to donate to the reward fun, contact AMVETS Post #116 in Corbin.
