Reward offered for information in double slaying
LONDON, Ky. (AP) — The Laurel County Sheriff’s Department says there’s a $1,000 reward for information in a double slaying.
The agency told media that the London-Laurel County Crime Stoppers organization has put up the reward in the fatal shootings of 62-year-old Donnie Jackson and 58-year-old Sharon Jackson, who are believed to be husband and wife.
Their bodies were found Sunday in a burning home in the Lily community in Laurel County. Preliminary autopsy results on Monday determined both had been shot to death in a manner consistent with homicide. The cause of the blaze hasn’t been determined.
Sheriff John Root said on Monday that the reward is for information that leads to the arrest and conviction of the person or persons responsible for the slayings.
