Reward increased in double homicide case

LONDON, Ky. (WTVQ) – The Laurel Co. Sheriff says an anonymous donor made a substantial contribution to the reward in a double homicide case.

According to the Sheriff’s Office, the anonymous donor has added $6,800 dollars to the reward fund.  Laurel Co. Crime Stoppers already had $1,000 dollars in the fund.  Wil AMVETS Post #116 donating $2,200 dollars, that brings the reward to $10,000 dollars for any information leading to an arrest and conviction of the person or persons involved in the murder of Donnie and Sharon Jackson of Lily.

According to detectives, Donnie and Sharon Jackson were found dead in a house fire on Slate Ridge road on Sunday, March 8, 2015.  Authorities say the husband and wife both had gunshot wounds.  An autopsy confirmed that their deaths were the result of those wounds, and the case became a hmicide.
