Resurfacing project causes lane closures on Bluegrass Parkway in Anderson, Mercer Counties

ANDERSON COUNTY, Ky. (ABC36 NEWS NOW) Roadwork is now underway on the Bluegrass Parkway in Anderson and Mercer Counties as crews begin a resurfacing project between milepoints 52 and 56.

According to state officials, the work will take place daily from 7 a.m. to 6 p.m., starting Monday and continuing through Friday, August 8. Drivers should expect lane closures, reduced speed limits, and possible delays through the construction zone.

The project begins just east of the Alford Road Bridge and stretches west past the Mercer-Anderson County line.

Transportation officials urge motorists to use caution in active work zones and check transportation.ky.gov for the latest updates.
