Rest of Bardstown distillery collapses

BARDSTOWN, Ky. (WTVQ) – The remaining section of a warehouse that partially collapsed last month, spilling thousands of barrels of bourbon, has come down.

It happened Wednesday at the Barton 1792 Distillery in Bardstown.

Last month, part of the warehouse collapsed, spilling around 9,000 barrels of bourbon.

It was believed there were 11,000 barrels remaining in the other section, according to WCPO.

No one was in the area at the time of the collapse, and no injuries were reported, according to the Nelson County Gazette.

According to WCPO, it wasn’t clear whether any bourbon had flowed into the nearby creek Wednesday, which happened after the partial collapse.
