Report: UK DB Coach Steve Clinkscale accepts position with Michigan

LEXINGTON, KY (WTVQ)- After having one of the best secondaries in the SEC for the past three seasons, defensive backs coach Steve Clinkscale could be leaving Kentucky.

According to Fox Sports Reporter Bruce Feldman, Clinkscale has accepted a similar position at the University of Michigan.

Clinkscale has been the defensive backs coach at UK since 2016. Over the past three seasons, Kentucky has ranked as one of the top ranked pass defenses in the country and has had four defensive backs drafted in the NFL over the past three seasons.

Clinkscale has also been on of the top recruiters during his time with UK and has helped the cats land several top high school prospects out of Michigan.
