UPDATE: Basketball Cat CJ Fredrick has minor procedure Monday

UPDATE 1:57 PM: While initial reports were Basketball Cat CJ Fredrick had broken his leg and had surgery, Coach John Calipari has tweeted to clear up any speculation as to what occurred. Fredrick had a minor procedure and is slated to be ready for the season.

LEXINGTON, Ky (WTVQ) – Kentucky Sports Radio’s Ryan Lemond is reporting Iowa transfer and current UK Men’s Basketball guard CJ Fredrick has broken his leg. He reports he had surgery on Monday to repair the break. UK has yet to confirm the injury, no timetable for a return is known.

Fredrick suffered multiple injuries while with the Hawkeyes. He missed four games last season due to a lower leg injury. As a freshman during the 2019-20 season, he missed six games due to other injuries.
