Records broken at Churchill Downs for 141st Derby

LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WTVQ)- Weather, hype and horses combine for a record-setting day at Churchill Downs.

170,513 fans packed into the track, breaking the previous record of just over 165,000 set back in 2012. "I’ll Have Another" won that derby.

Wagering from all-sources was the highest all-time on both the Derby Day Program and the Kentucky Derby Race, according to the derby website.

It also says Churchill Downs returned $154 million to bettors on Derby Day.
