Record Number Of Kentuckians Registered To Vote

The state said a record number of Kentuckians were registered to vote ahead of the November General Election.

Officials said Wednesday that Kentucky had 3,147,157 registered voters.

The total beat the 3,105,349 people who were registered ahead of the Primary Election last May.

The state broke down the numbers and said 53% of registered voters were woman, and 47% were men. 

According to officials, about 53% of voters in Kentucky were registered as Democrats.

About 39% were Republicans.

And the state said about 8% were identified as "other."
