Raw sewage backs up into apartment bathtubs

LEXINGTON, Ky. (WTVQ) – Firefighters say a hazmat situation has forced some residents out of their apartments.

Firefighters were called to the fairway apartments on Pimlico Parkway overnight about a plumbing problem.

When they arrived, they found raw sewage backing up in the bathtubs of two apartments.

Residents in the two apartments had to stay elsewhere for the night.

All other residents in the 12-apartment complex were allowed to stay.
