Rally for the Rescues heading to State Capitol to support animals in Ky.
FRANKFORT, Ky. (WTVQ) — A children-led rally will gather this week in the Kentucky State Capitol to support a movement for more animals to get adopted from shelters.
The rally is being held by Ethan, an 11-year-old boy, who’s been trying to make rescue pets the official state pet of Kentucky for five years now.
He hopes this will be the year the bill is passed.
The 11-year-old also started Ethan’s Rescue Pet Project.
The rally will be held on Thursday at 1 p.m. in the Capitol Rotunda.
