Races Raise Money For Lexington PTAs
A Color Craze run and some other activities served as a fundraiser for the PTA in the Lexington community.
More than 35 chapters benefited from three races Sunday. Entry fees to the races went directly to school PTA’s and PTSA’s.
Organizers said in the first three years, more than $45,000 were raised.
"It’s not like any other 5K race that you go to. It’s wonderful to see the families all engaging together and the kids skipping through the race. It’s a really, really positive thing and the research really supports that physically active kids do better academically," said Liza Holland, race director.
