UPDATE: Driskell quintuplets doing well, no reality show in future
LEXINGTON, Ky. (WTVQ) – A family from Versailles grew five times larger earlier this month.
On May 2nd, Briana Driskell gave birth to quintuplets at UK’s birthing center – two boys and three girls.
Driskell was admitted to UK just 22 weeks into her pregnancy. Due to complications, she ended up giving birth by cesarean section just six weeks later.
UK Hospital staff started preparing for the delivery weeks in advance, making sure they would have proper staffing when delivery time came.
Doctors at UK say that all five babies are doing well and already growing.
The parents are obviously overwhelmed with joy with their five new additions to the family.
“When I actually got up there and was able to see them, I just can’t even explain the emotion that came over me, it was just unreal. Like they say, you never know love until you have a child, and wow, especially having five, it’s five times over. I just cried, and cried,” says father Jordan Driskell.
Several reality shows have reached out to the Driskells, but they have declined all offers saying its not really their thing. They do admit, however, to watching those shows during the pregnancy to get a picture of what they would be dealing with once the babies were born.
