A quiet Saturday after Friday night’s big celebrations
LEXINGTON, Ky. (WTVQ)- It felt eerily quiet Saturday in Lexington after Friday night’s celebrations near campus.
This is what state street looked like Saturday after street sweepers came through to clean up earlier that morning.
It’s quite a different picture from what was seen Friday night. It was crazy!
Lexington police say they made two arrests and took four people to the hospital.
Of those people, one fell from a second floor balcony.
Lexington police report no significant fires, but there were several smaller fires.
Some people were swinging around flaming clothing and tossing it into the crowd.
Dangerous stuff, but luckily the crowd stayed under control for the most part and people had a great time.
Sunday evening, no matter the outcome of the game we could see even wilder celebrations.
ABC 36 crews will be out on State Street all night Sunday to bring you that coverage.
